The business was founded in 2012 by Robert Love after many years of working for Well-known independent and corporate agencies across West Suffolk and North Essex.
Over the years Abbey has grown organically through recommendation and word of mouth, and through the acquisition of quality local agencies, when those owners have decided to retire.
We now operate across West and Mid Suffolk, North Essex, East Cambs and South Norfolk as Shires.

Robert is still very present in the business, which is now headed and run day to day by the Managing Director, George Aves, who himself has extensive experience in the industry and the area we operate in, having accelerated through the Shires ranks. Between them they have over 35 years experience.
